Workshop Description:

This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for anyone looking to develop new skills . Over the course of this class, you will learn essential sewing techniques and be introduced to upcylcing where you will get to sew your very own beret made from an old item of clothing or fabric that you love!

What You’ll Learn:

Basic Sewing Terminology: Familiarize yourself with essential terms and tools.
Machine Basics: Understand how to operate a sewing machine safely and effectively.
Fabric Selection: Learn about different types of fabrics and how to choose the right one for your projects.

Simple Techniques: Master fundamental techniques such as straight stitching, zigzag stitching, and hemming.

Project Creation: By the end of the course you will have learnt how to make your very own upcycled hair scrunchie to showcase your new skills.

Materials Needed:

Each student will be provided with their own workshop packs to keep which includes;

• A sewing kit to keep which includes all the essentials for sewing
• your own notepad for sketching / take notes whilst learning
• A gold pen 
• Fabric swatches to practice on during the workshop / at home 

By the end of each workshop, participants should feel confident using a sewing machine and have a completed project to take home, fostering their passion for sewing!
